Custom Architectural Precast
If your design calls for something that doesn't exist in a catalog, we build the mold. Custom architectural elements are a core part of what we do.
What Counts as 'Custom'?
In architectural precast, 'custom' means any element produced from a mold built specifically for your project. This includes one-of-a-kind pieces — a site-specific medallion, a corbel matching a historical profile, a gate column designed by your landscape architect — as well as standard-looking elements produced in unusual dimensions or with a specific finish not in our standard catalog.
Common Custom Elements
- —Medallions — decorative circular or geometric elements for facades, entryways, and feature walls
- —Keystones — custom-profile keystones at arch crowns or flat lintels
- —Corbels & Brackets — projecting support elements under canopies, beams, or balconies
- —Gate Columns — monumental entry columns for estate, campus, or commercial entries
- —Custom Capitals — non-classical column capitals matching a building's design language
- —Fountain & Planter Elements — basins, bowls, planters, and water feature surrounds
- —Any profile your architect draws — if it can be molded, we can cast it
The Custom Process
Custom projects follow the same process as standard products — estimate, shop drawings, mold fabrication, production, and delivery — with the addition of a mold-building phase. For complex profiles, we may produce a first-article casting for your review before committing to the full run. Mold cost is factored into the project estimate upfront; there are no surprises.
Working From Your Drawings
We work from architect drawings, structural drawings, SketchUp models, or even a physical sample you ship us. Our shop drawing process converts your design into production-ready documentation, which you review and approve before any concrete is poured.
Lions Precast Advantage
Because we build molds in-house, we control the full timeline — we're not waiting on an outside fabricator. For custom projects with tight schedules, this is significant. We've produced custom elements for residential estates, commercial entries, hospitality facilities, and institutional buildings across California.
